FEET & POINTE SHOE WORKSHOP

Esther is visiting us to deliver this wonderful workshop for students, parents and teachers –

SUNDAY 22nd FEBRUARY 2015, 8.30am – 2.15pm at PEEL STREET DANCE STUDIOS, 12 Peel St Kew Victoria

Recommended for students 9 years and above, the interactive workshop gives an insight into feet, pre-pointe and pointe work training, and how to protect young dancers’ feet.  Foot awareness, conditioning and strengthening beneficial for all styles of dance.

Metatarsal lift The workshop is divided into 3 parts –

  1. Introduction, pre-pointe preparation, support of the foot en pointe
  2. Practical conditioning and strengthening exercise session
  3. Individual taping of feet and appraisal of current shoes

FEES:  $75.00 student / teacher.  Students aged 9 – 11 to be accompanied by a parent – no additional fee.  Parents of all students welcome.

SPLENDID!!  MARVELOUS!  These are the words Laurel would have used to describe the gathering at her home on Saturday 2nd to celebrate her life.

The weather was made to order, and what a wonderful gathering of people from so many aspects of Laurel’s life.

So many stories, memories, and connections, spanning decades of Australian dance history, and indeed history in the making.

FAREWELL TO AN AMAZING WOMAN.  WE WILL MISS YOU MISS MARTYN.
